FINALLY the Day Has Arrived for Chiles en Nogadas!

I have been waiting patiently to enjoy this seasonal delicacy.  Chiles en Nogadas originated in Puebla and are only available from late July to early September.  Looks like I have perfect timing!  Look at this monster!

I was famished when this plate of food was placed before me.  Everyone said, "Wow, Lindsay, there's no way you're going to be able to eat all that!" HA!  Come on, people.  Really?!  In the words of Mos Def, man I smashed it like an Idaho potato.
Chiles en Nogada: A huge poblano pepper stuffed with pork, beef, almonds, raisins, peaches, apples and cinnamon that is battered and deep fried (!!!) and topped with a thick, rich walnut sauce and pomegranate seeds.
